Overview: This Code of Conduct Company Policy template is a guideline for all Employees, Directors and Officers of the Uxbridge Clays organization. The code of conduct policy may also be referred to as a conduct in the workplace policy.
Our Code of Conduct company policy outlines our expectations regarding Employees, Directors and Officers behavior towards their colleagues, supervisors, club members and to the overall organization.
We promote freedom of expression, open communication, respecting the rights of all individuals.. But we expect all to follow our code of conduct which includes: offensive behaviour, participating in serious disputes and disrupting our workplace environment. We strive and expect all to foster a well-organized, respectful and collaborative environment.
This policy applies to all Uxbridge Clays employees, directors, officers and members regardless of employment agreement or rank.
Company Employees, Directors and Officers are bound by their contract to follow our Code of Conduct while performing their duties. We outline the components of our Code of Conduct below:
All Employees, Directors and Officers must protect our company's legality. They should comply with all environmental, safety and fair dealing laws. We expect Employees, Directors and Officers to be ethical and responsible when dealing with our company's finances, products, partnerships and public image.
All Employees, Directors and Officers should respect their colleagues. We will not allow any kind of discriminatory behavior,harassment or victimization. Employees, Directors and Officers should conform with an equal opportunity view in all aspects of their work, from recruitment and performance evaluation to interpersonal relations.
All employees should treat our company's property, whether material or intangible, with respect and care.
Employees, Directors and Officers:
● Should not misuse company equipment, or use it frivolously.
All Employees, Directors and Officers must showintegrity and professionalism in the workplace in the context of the following:
● Personal appearance
All Employees, Directors and Officers mustfollow our dress code and personal appearance guidelines (i.e. attire practical and safe for the sporting activities and work on site – the Board of Directors retains the right to define should there be any questions).
● Corruption
We discourage Employees, Directors and Officers from accepting gifts from clients or partners. We prohibit briberies for the benefit of any external or internal party.
● Job duties and authority
All Employees, Directors and Officers should fulfill their job duties with integrity and respect toward club members, customers, stakeholders and the community. Employees, Directors and Officers must not abuse their authority. We expect them to delegate duties to their team members taking into account their competences and workload. Likewise, we expect team members to follow team leaders' instructions and complete their duties with skill and in a timely manner.
We encourage mentoring throughout our company.
● Absenteeism and tardiness
Employees should follow their schedules. We can make exceptions for occasions that prevent employees from followingstandard working hours or days. But, generally, we expect employees to be punctual when coming to and leaving from work.
● Conflict of interest
We expect Employees, Directors and Officers to avoid any personal, financial or other interests that might hinder their capability or willingness to perform their job duties.
● Collaboration
Employees, Directors and Officers should be friendly and collaborative. They should try not to disrupt the workplace or present obstacles to their colleagues' work.
● Communication
All Employees, Directors and Officers must beopen for communication with their colleagues, supervisors or team members.
● Benefits
We expect Employees to not abuse their employment benefits. This can refer to time off, facilities, subscriptions or other benefits our company offers.
● Policies
All Employees, Directors and Officers should read and follow our company policies in this document and safety documents issued separately. If they have any questions, they should ask any of the following Officers: the Uxbridge Clays Club Secretary, Club Vice-President or Club President.
● Safety
All Employees shall work in a safe manner at all times, referring any questions promptly to their direct supervisor (or to a BOD member). All Employees should be familiar with the safety documents issued by Uxbridge Clays. Use proper protective equipment when working (gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection etc. There is no task so important, that safe working habits should ever be compromised!
Our company may have to take disciplinary action against Employees, Directors and Officers who repeatedly or intentionally fail to follow our code of conduct. Disciplinary actions will vary depending on the violation.
Possible consequences include:
● Demotion.
● Reprimand.
● Suspension ortermination for more serious offenses.
● Detraction of benefits for a definite or indefinite time.
We may take legal action in cases of corruption, theft, embezzlement or other unlawful behavior.
