UXBRIDGE Clays Target SPORTS IS ONTARIO'S PREMIER CLUB FOR THE SAFE ENJOYMENT OF THE CLAY TARGET SPORTSOntario's Premier Club since 1949 |
Welcome new Members to Uxbridge Clays Target Sports!
As a newbie shooter, you might be a little shell shocked at first with all the activity that goes on at the club. You will find that shooters will be welcoming and friendly towards you, and if you would like to join a squad - just ask. Squads tend to be no more than 5 people at a time for time expediency reasons. Start by looking for small squads that are starting and assembling at station #1 on any of the fields. Have Stephen at the Front desk introduce you around to get you started on your first few rounds. In your first two visits:

Our Saftey Checkoff Process
All members are required to sussessfully complete this process before you can shoot unsupervised, and before you are allowed to supervise any guests that accompany you. The purpose of the saftey process is for you to learn saftey and protcol procedures that should become second nature to you. Typically, good habits are learned after repeating about 30+ rounds of skeet, so do not expect to develop these good habits overnight and in some cases we may NOT pass you if we feel you have not yet developed the good safety habits that we are looking for. Remember this process is to protect you, your fellow shooters and the club. You will need to obtain 3 signatures from a senior member, club director or instructor before advancing to the Induction Seminar and Workshop.
Following the three signature requirement, we will automatically schedule you for a final induction workshop with a Director or Instrucutor of the club on the second Sunday of the month. So enjoy the shooting experience and note the following simple steps:
Happy shooting! Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
